ZYM Mobile SIM-only plans
ZYM Mobile SIM-only plans are all no-contract monthly offerings, which have several free inclusions: number port-in, caller ID, incoming calls and incoming SMS. All plans cost $3 upfront for SIM delivery or $2 for eSIM.
ZYM offers both 4G and 5G plans, with the former being the cheapest. Let's start with a look at the 4G ZYM Mobile plans.
ZYM Mobile 4G plans
The cheapest SIM-only option is the ZYM Mobile Flexi Duo Data Only Plan, which costs $7 per month for 77GB of data, which can be used in Singapore and Malaysia. There aren’t any calls or SMS with this plan, but it does include 100GB of roaming data for Malaysia (90-day expiry). This is one of the cheapest SIM plans on the market, but it's important to note that it does not include calls or SMS.
The cheapest ZYM Mobile plan that includes 300 call minutes and 100 SMS is the $7.70 per month Roam Saver plan. It comes with 200GB of local data per month plus 100GB of data per year to use in Malaysia, plus 5GB of roaming data per month for use in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, the Philippines, and India. This plan also includes 100 IDD minutes for 16 destinations.
The Roam Plus plan is ZYM's final 4G plan. It costs $10.10 per month for 500GB of local data, 1,000 outgoing local call minutes and 100 local SMS. This plan also includes 600GB per year of roaming data for use in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, 15GB per year for 198 worldwide destinations, plus an additional 15GB of roaming data per month for 13 Asia-Pacific destinations. There's also 300 IDD minutes to 16 destinations, and 180 days of free 5G+ connectivity.
Now, let's move on to ZYM Mobile's 5G plans.
ZYM Mobile 5G plans
ZYM Mobile has downsized its 5G plans to just one offering: the Roam Smart SIM Only plan, which costs $15.10 per month. For your money, you get 600GB local 5G data, 1,000GB per year roaming data for use in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, 50GB per year global roaming data for 198 destinations, and 20GB monthly roaming data for 13 APAC destinations. You'll also stay connected with 2,000 local minutes, 100 local SMS, and 500 IDD minutes to 16 destinations.
Also consider:
It might seem quite confusing at first to see ZYM Mobile plans offering both monthly and yearly roaming data. So, how does it work?
Each plan offers a monthly allotment of data that can be used in Singapore, of course. They also offer a monthly allotment of data for use in selected APAC destinations.
In addition to these monthly allotments, which refresh at the end of every month, ZYM also offers some roaming inclusions that only refresh after a year. So, if your plan comes with 600GB yearly roaming data for a particular destination, you have to make that data last for the whole year before it resets.

ZYM Mobile customer service
ZYM Mobile's customer service options are quite limited. You can contact their customer care team on WhatsApp, or you can visit any of their six in-person customer service centres.
ZYM Mobile has a Seedly score of 4.8/5. Its highest score sits in the network category, where they're praised for reliable 5G and roaming connectivity. The telco has also been praised for its ease of setup and affordable price.
However, despite such a high score, there were a few complaints about ZYM's customer service. Most stated that responses on WhatsApp can be delayed, and in some instances, it took several days for a customer service representative to reply to messages.
