StarHub offers six SIM-only plans. All have access to the StarHub 5G mobile network and operate on 30-day cycles, and all but the cheapest offer unlimited data, calls and SMS.

The 5G Lite is the cheapest StarHub SIM-only plan, and it costs $22 per 30 days. You’ll get 150GB of data with 1,000 local call minutes, plus 750 SMS for local use. Internationally, you get unlimited calls and SMS while roaming to 165 destinations. You'll also get 1GB of data roaming for Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. For cheaper 5G SIM-only plans with more data, call minutes and/or messages, consider comparable plans from M1, MyRepublic and Singtel.

The rest of StarHub’s SIM-only mobile plans all offer unlimited local data, unlimited calls and SMS both locally and while roaming (subject to StarHub's fair use policy) an allotment of roaming data, unlimited IDD calls, plus monthly credit to put towards a new device.

Under the 5G Unlimited+ banner, there are three plans. For $38 per month, you get 3GB of global roaming data, 5GB Southeast Asia data (five destinations), and $5 device credits per month. $48 per month gets you 5GB global data, 10GB APAC data (20 destinations), and $10 device credit per month. At $78 per month, you're looking at 20GB global roaming data (165 destinations) and $20 per month to put towards a device.

The two most expensive plans fall under the 5G Platinum banner. For a pricey $128 per month, you'll get 30GB global roaming data and $50 of device credit per month. Finally, $188 gets you unlimited global roaming data and a generous $80 of device credit each month.

StarHub customer service

Although StarHub has been around a long time and provides a premium product, unfortunately, they're ranked lowest by customers on Seedly out of all providers, with a meagre 2.2 stars.

On a positive note, there are a lot of help channels should you encounter any issues. In addition to an online FAQ hub, StarHub also offers a live chatbot, a 24/7 WhatsApp chat (if you need a human), and a range of hotlines and online forms.
