After months of rumours and leaks, Google has officially released the Pixel 10a. Here’s everything you need to know about its new features, Singapore pricing, and when you’ll be able to get your hands on the new mid-range smartphone.
Google Pixel 10a new features
The Google Pixel 10a boasts several new features, like the AI-powered Camera Coach, previously exclusive to the Pixel 10 lineup. Using Google’s Gemini assistant, it’ll scan your surroundings and give you suggestions on framing, scale, and angles to help you take the perfect photo.
The Pixel 10a sports a 2424 x 1080p Actua pOLED display, is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, an upgrade on the Gorilla Glass 3 used in every a-range phone since the 4a. Although the battery capacity remains unchanged at 5,100mAh, the Pixel 10a weighs in at 183g, lighter than the 9a.
In terms of cameras, we’re looking at a 48MP main, a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 13MP selfie camera. It's capable of up to 5x digital zoom and up to 4k video recording at 30/60 FPS. It carries IP68 dust and water resistance, a Tensor G4 processor, and the standard Android 16 OS with seven years of security updates. The Google Pixel 10a also includes Bluetooth 6.0 (up from 5.4), satellite comms support, and fast 45W charging support, up from 23W on the Pixel 9a.
It's available in lavender, berry, fog, and obsidian colourways, with 128GB or 256GB storage options and 8GB of RAM.
Overall, these upgrades seem pretty minor over the Pixel 9a, but still worthy upgrades nonetheless, especially considering the price point.
