WhistleOut Singapore : How We Work

WhistleOut was founded in Australia in 2008 after it was clear that the industry was confusing and difficult to navigate for a lot of people. We believe it shouldn't take a genius to get a great mobile phone or broadband plan. What was missing was clear information and all in the same place to help consumers make a good decision. 

After success in Australia, we brought the site to the Singapore and currently help thousands of Singaporeans each month compare telecommunications products, like mobile phone and broadband plans. 

Our search tool is designed to deliver clear, easy-to-understand product comparisons in a way that lets you decide on what is best for you. We are an independent company, and while the major brands feature in our comparisons, we are not owned by any of the companies you see listed on our site.

Our dedicated auditing team check every plan and product in our database against the current offers on each service provider's website, so you can be sure all of our information is accurate and up to date. 

It is a big job and currently our auditing team maintains over 1,400 plan combinations and we estimate that we make about 400 changes to our database each month. While we don't track pricing for every provider and product in market, we do our best to cover as many as possible while not compromising on our rigorous process.

As part of our service promise, we commit to always including at least the top ten providers of mobile phone and broadband plans in each market. We currently have 12 mobile phone carriers and 6 broadband service providers listed. 

WhistleOut is completely free to use, but we are a business which requires a lot of maintenance and hard work. When you click on a "Go to Site" button or link that transfers you to a supplier's website, call a phone number listed, fill in a "Call me Back" form, or click on a sponsored placement, we get paid a fee. Sometimes we are paid a commission if you eventually decide to purchase a product from one of the providers. 

We will always show you the single most relevant product result for each supplier based on your search criteria, ranked by sorting options that you control. If we have a commercial relationship with a supplier, we will show additional listings (i.e., more than one) beyond their best result.

Suppliers do not need a commercial relationship with WhistleOut to be included in any of our search results. Our product audit team treat each supplier the same, checking the prices of each product with the same rigor no matter what our commercial relationship may be.
